Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption:

<br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING PARTIAL PAYMENT NO. 2 TO NORTH VALLEY, INC. FOR
<br /> JUNIPER WOODS 1ST—3RD STREET RECONSTRUCTIONS, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #24-
<br /> 12
<br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to reconstruct the streets within the Juniper Woods 1 St,
<br /> 2nd, and 3rd subdivision as identified within the 2023 —2032 10-Year Capital Improvement Program; and
<br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #23-130, adopted June 13, 2023, the
<br /> City Council accepted and awarded the proposal to Bolton & Menk, Inc., for topographic survey of the
<br /> project area; and
<br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #23-129, adopted June 27, 2023, the
<br /> City Council accepted and awarded the proposal to Independent Testing Technologies, Inc., for a
<br /> geotechnical report of the project area; and
<br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution#23-202, adopted August 22,2023,the
<br /> City Council ordered the City Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for Juniper Woods 1 St—3rd Street
<br /> Reconstructions, Improvement Project#24-12; and
<br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution#24-042, adopted January 23, 2024 the
<br /> City Council approved final plans and specifications as prepared by the City Engineer and authorized
<br /> advertisement for bids for the same improvements; and
<br /> WHEREAS,proposals were received for Construction Staking and As-built Survey of$12,024.00
<br /> from Bolton and Menk, Inc. for said improvements; and
<br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Resolution #24-070, adopted March 12, 2024, a contract
<br /> was awarded to North Valley, Inc. of Nowthen, Minnesota, in the amount of $412,370.09 for said
<br /> improvements; and
<br /> WHEREAS, as of July 23, 2024 $390,908.43 has been paid to date; and
<br /> WHEREAS, the Senior Engineering Technician has inspected the completed work and
<br /> recommends partial payment No. 2 to North Valley,Inc. of Nowthen, Minnesota, for improvement project
<br /> #24-12, Juniper Woods 1 St—3rd Street Reconstruction, in the amount of$3 8,014.18.
<br /> NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br /> RAMSEY,ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA:
<br /> 1) The City Council hereby authorizes partial payment No. 2 to North Valley, Inc. of Nowthen,
<br /> Minnesota for Improvement Project #24-12, Juniper Woods 1 St— 3rd Street Reconstruction in the
<br /> amount of$3 8,014.18.
<br /> 2) The City Council hereby authorizes the Mayor and City Administrator to sign the release form for
<br /> this payment
<br /> 3) The total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills for the
<br /> date of July 23, 2024.
