INTRODUCTION: The City of Ramsey(City)is requesting proposals for installation of 6"water service and 4" sanitary service connections to Fire Station No.l located at 15050 Armstrong Boulevard. The work includes; • Installation of 95 lineal feet of 6" DIP Class 53 water service • Installation of 77 lineal feet of 4" PVC SDR 35 sanitary sewer service 0 4" cleanout connection to existing building line 0 8"x 4"reducer connection to existing downstream line • Salvage and installation of fire hydrant • Installation of two (2) 6" gate valves • Clean out and removal of concrete septic tank • Excavation and removal of 15 cubic yards of drain field material • Restoration of 0.06 acres with minimum 4"topsoil and hydroseed o Irrigation repairs as necessary SCHEDULE: A written schedule of the work shall be submitted identifying all work components and showing work start and completion dates required to comply with the schedule. Work may not begin prior to August 14, 2024. All work must be complete no later than September 20, 2024 A notice to proceed for the work is anticipated to be issued by the City on or around August 14, 2024. If work is not initiated within 7 calendar days of this notice, the City reserves the right to cancel the proposal and award to the second lowest responsible bidder. PROPOSAL SUBMITTAL: An itemized quote shall be submitted for the proposed work using the form at the end of this Request for Proposal (RFP) COMMUNICATION WITH THE CITY: If any requirements of this RFP are not clearly understood, the Contractor is responsible for contacting the City for further clarifications in a prompt manner. Responses to inquiries, if they change or clarify the RFP in a substantial manner, will be forwarded by addenda to the RFP. SUBMISSION: A signed copy of the attached proposal form is requested by 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2024. E-mail proposals will be accepted and may be sent to Stacie Damj anovich; sdamjanovichkcityoframsey.com. Or deliver to the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey MN 55303 to the attention of Stacie Damjanovich, Engineering Administrative Assistant. REVIEW PROCESS: Proposals received by the RFP deadline will be reviewed by Engineering Staff. The City will award the project to the lowest proposal. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive minor irregularities. The winning proposal must be presented by the City Engineer and approved by the Ramsey City Council (Council meetings are on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month); once approved, an email will be sent out awarding the proposal to the qualified vendor, at which time a Certificate of Insurance will be required prior to scheduling work. 2
