Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION#24-197 RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER #1 FOR BARTHEL'S RUM RIVER ACRES AND WHITE PINES ESTATES STREET RECONSTRUCTIONS, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #24-01 WHEREAS,the City of Ramsey proposes to reconstruct the streets within the Barthel's Rum River Acres and White Pines Estates subdivisions; and WHEREAS,pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution#23-197, adopted August 22,2023,the City Council ordered the City Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for Barthel's Rum River Acres and White Pines Estates Street Reconstructions, Improvement Project#24-01; and WHEREAS,pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution#23-297, adopted November 28,2023, the City Council approved final plans and specifications as prepared by the City Engineer and authorized advertisement for bids for the same improvements; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #24-063, adopted February 26, 2024, the City Council awarded a construction contract to North Valley, Inc. of Nowthen, Minnesota in the amount of$848,577.00 for the total bid construction of the improvements in accordance with the approved plans and specifications and advertisement for bids; and WHEREAS,during construction the plans required amending with the addition of a catch basin at 5500 165'Lane to control storm water runoff from the street onto private property; and WHEREAS, during construction re-grading the swale between 5 821 and 5751 164' Lane was found necessary to remove storm water runoff from crossing private property and control it within the existing drainage and utility easement along the shared property line; and WHEREAS, Change Order No.1 increases the construction costs by$19,364.93 for the purpose of addressing necessary storm water improvements. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to execute Change Order No.1 for Barthel's Rum River Acres and White Pines Estates Street Reconstructions, Improvement Project #24-01, for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained:
