• Substantial Completion <br />o October 11, 2024 <br />o Final lift of bituminous pavement in -place, concrete repairs complete, boulevard restoration in -place <br />• Final Completion <br />o June 30, 2025 <br />o Verify final turf establishment, project clean up complete <br />Bid Opening <br />On August 5, 2024, a total of six (6) bids were publicly opened and tabulated. The following bids were found to <br />comply with the advertisement for bids. <br />Contractor Total Bid <br />Park Construction Company $162,689.38 <br />North Valley, Inc. $177,032.26 <br />Landall Services, LLC $190,253.00 <br />Omann Brothers Paving, Inc. $193,995.52 <br />Valley Paving, Inc. $200,008.17 <br />C.S. McCrossan Construction, Inc. $214,582.50 <br />Engineer's Estimate $188, 212.00 <br />Park Construction Company of Minneapolis, Minnesota, submitted the lowest responsible bid in the amount of <br />$162,689.38. Adding indirect costs in the amount of 14-percent for administrative, engineering, finance, and legal <br />costs brings the total project costs to $185,465.89. <br />The low bid is 14-percent below the engineer's estimate, primarily due to lower than anticipated bituminous <br />pavement costs. <br />Permitting <br />Plans have been reviewed and approved by MnDOT State Aid. State Aid plan approval is required prior to bid <br />opening, to be able to use Municipal State Aid funding on the project. <br />Plans were prepared in-house as part of Staff's normal duties. The proposed improvements are designated as City <br />Improvement Project #24-06, 2024 MSA Pavement Overlay Improvements. <br />Notification: <br />If a contract for construction is awarded, letters will be mailed to property owners with updates on the project <br />status. The Engineering department maintains City Improvement Project webpages with the most current project <br />information, which will also be updated. <br />Time Frame/Observations/Alternatives: <br />Alternatives: <br />Motion to adopt Resolution #24-213 accepting bids and awarding a contract for 2024 MSA Pavement Overlay <br />Improvements, Improvement Project #24-06. <br />Funding Source: <br />Funding for this improvement is proposed to come from Municipal State Aid (MSA) Funds and Stormwater <br />Utility Funds. <br />The estimated costs below include 14-percent indirect costs for administrative, engineering, finance, and legal <br />costs. <br />Municipal State Aid Funds $181,989.98 <br />
