Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESISLUTION #92-03-042 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING USE OF 1992 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br /> BLOCK GRANT FUNDS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Anoka County is responsible for the allocation and timely expenditure of <br />Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and <br />Urban Development; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey receives an annual allocation of CDBG funds from <br />Anoka County; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has a 1992 CDBG allocation in the amount of <br />$30,407.00 for CDBG projects; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, eligible activities for CDBG funds include .projects that have been <br />determined to benefit low and moderate income persons, handicapped persons, senior citizens or to <br />rehabilitate areas of slum and blight; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, February <br />11, 1992 regarding the use of 1992 CDBG allocations. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City of Ramsey hereby applies to Anoka County for 1992 Community <br />Development Block Grant allocations to be used as follows: <br /> <br />Project Amount <br /> <br />Flintwood Hills Park/Handicap Accessible Improvements <br />Anoka County Community Action Program - Senior Outreach <br />Community Emergency Action Program <br />Acquisition of TDD Machine for Ramsey Municipal Center <br /> <br />$23,918.00 <br /> 3,000.00 <br /> 2,000.00 <br /> 489.00 <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That a copy of this resolution and a preliminary project application request form be <br />forwarded to the Anoka County CDBG Administrator. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Zimmerman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor James Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Glen Hardin <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
