Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for it adoption: RESOLUTION #92-04-060 RESOLUTION CLUB FOR INDIVIDUALS AUTHORIZING USE OF CITY TRUCK BY RAMSEY LIONS SURPLUS FOOD DISTRIBUTION TO LOW INCOME WHEREAS, the Ramsey Lions Club has in past years received permission to use a City truck for surplus food distribution to low income individuals; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey Lions Club is again requesting use of a City truck to be driven by Merle Mevissen, Public Works Supervisor and Lions Club member, on the following dates: Saturday, May 16, 1992 Saturday, September 19, 1992 WHEREAS, the food will be picked up at the Anoka Metro Regional Treatment Center and will be delivered to the Advent Lutheran Church in Anoka. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves the request of the Ramsey Lions Club and authorizes the use of a City truck to be driven by Merle Mevissen, Public Works Supervisor, for surplus food distribution to low income individuals on Saturday, May 16, 1992 and Saturday, September 19, 1992. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Beyer and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gilbertson Councilmember Peterson Councilmember Beyer Councilmember Hardin Councilmember Zimmerman and the following voted against the same: Nolle and the following abstained: None and the following were absent: None whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 14th day of April, 1992.
