Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #92-04-066 RESOLUTION ORDERING ADVERTISEMENTS FOR BIDS FOR SAP 199-111- 02 WACO STREET N.W. IMPROVEMENTS FROM 149TH AVENUE N.W. TO 150TH AVENUE N.W. WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has entered into an agreement with Mr. Albin Peterson for the construction of Waco Street N.W. between 149th Avenue N.W. and 150th Avenue N.W.; and WHEREAS, this segment of street has been identified as a collector street on the City's Thoroughfare Plan and is designated as a Minnesota State Aid Street; and WHEREAS, engineering plans and specifications have been prepared by the City and approved by the District Office of Mn/DOT. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvements. The advertisement shall be published for 21 days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the City Administrator until 2:00 p.m. on May 14, 1992 at which time they will be publicly opened in the City Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal Center by the City Administrator and City Engineer, will then be tabulated and will be considered by the Ramsey City Council at 7:30 p.m. on May 26, 1992 in the Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Administrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City of Ramsey for five (5) percent of the amount of such bid. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Beyer and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gilbertson Councilmember Peterson Councilmember Beyer Councilmember Hardin Councilmember Zimmerman and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None and the following were absent: None
