Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #92-04-066 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING ADVERTISEMENTS FOR BIDS FOR SAP 199-111- <br />02 WACO STREET N.W. IMPROVEMENTS FROM 149TH AVENUE N.W. TO <br />150TH AVENUE N.W. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has entered into an agreement with Mr. Albin Peterson <br />for the construction of Waco Street N.W. between 149th Avenue N.W. and 150th Avenue N.W.; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this segment of street has been identified as a collector street on the City's <br />Thoroughfare Plan and is designated as a Minnesota State Aid Street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, engineering plans and specifications have been prepared by the City and <br />approved by the District Office of Mn/DOT. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and <br />in the Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such <br />improvements. The advertisement shall be published for 21 days, shall specify the work to <br />be done, shall state that bids will be received by the City Administrator until 2:00 p.m. on <br />May 14, 1992 at which time they will be publicly opened in the City Council Chambers of <br />the Ramsey Municipal Center by the City Administrator and City Engineer, will then be <br />tabulated and will be considered by the Ramsey City Council at 7:30 p.m. on May 26, <br />1992 in the Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during <br />consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of <br />responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City <br />Administrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified <br />check payable to the City of Ramsey for five (5) percent of the amount of such bid. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Beyer and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Hardin <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
