Councilmember Hardin introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #92-04-068 RESOLUTION APPROVING RAMSEY LIONS CLUB'S APPLICATION FOR A PREMISES PERMIT FOR GAMBLING AT THE RAMSEY VFW, POST 1043, 9539 HIGHWAY #10 N.W. WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is in receipt of a Minnesota Lawful Gambling Premises Permit application from the Ramsey Lions Club; and WHEREAS, a copy of this application was received by the City of Ramsey on March 30, 1992; and WHEREAS, the applicant desires to operate Class A charitable gambling activities pursuant to State law; and WHEREAS, the applicant will conduct these activities at 9539 Highway #10 N.W. in Ramsey; and WHEREAS, the applicant currently operates similar activities successfully within the City of Ramsey at Lally's on 10 and the Super Bowl. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey hereby approves the premises permit application of the Ramsey Lions Club for gambling at the Ramsey VFW, Post 1043. 2) That precedent to operation of gambling at this location, the location must be in compliance with all City of Ramsey codes. 3) That any requisite investigative period is hereby waived. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Beyer and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gilbertson Councilmember Hardin Councilmember Beyer Councilmember Peterson Councilmember Zimmerman and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None and the following were absent: None
