Councilmember Hardin introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #92-04-068 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING RAMSEY LIONS CLUB'S APPLICATION FOR A <br />PREMISES PERMIT FOR GAMBLING AT THE RAMSEY VFW, POST 1043, <br />9539 HIGHWAY #10 N.W. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is in receipt of a Minnesota Lawful Gambling Premises <br />Permit application from the Ramsey Lions Club; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a copy of this application was received by the City of Ramsey on March 30, <br />1992; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the applicant desires to operate Class A charitable gambling activities <br />pursuant to State law; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the applicant will conduct these activities at 9539 Highway #10 N.W. in <br />Ramsey; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the applicant currently operates similar activities successfully within the City <br />of Ramsey at Lally's on 10 and the Super Bowl. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey hereby approves the premises permit <br />application of the Ramsey Lions Club for gambling at the Ramsey VFW, Post 1043. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That precedent to operation of gambling at this location, the location must be in compliance <br />with all City of Ramsey codes. <br /> <br />3) That any requisite investigative period is hereby waived. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Beyer and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Hardin <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
