Councilmember Beyer introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #92-04-076 JOINT RESOLUTION BETWEEN THE CITY OF ANOKA AND THE CITY OF RAMSEY FOR THE CONCURRENT DETACHMENT AND ANNEXATION OF INCORPORATED LAND PURSUANT TO MINNESOTA STATUTE §414.061 WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey desires to detach a parcel of property approximately 0.74 acres in size and legally described as follows: Commencing at the most Northwesterly comer of the plat of Brom Addition, Anoka County, Minnesota. Thence Northwesterly on and along the Easterly Right of Way of St. Francis Boulevard (State Highway #47), as platted in 1959, to its intersection with the Southerly boundary of Anoka County Right of Way Plat No. 32. Thence Southwesterly on and along the said Southerly boundary to the intersection with the Easterly boundary of Anoka County Right of Way Plat No. 36 and the point of beginning. Thence continuing Southwesterly on the previous course to the intersection with the Southerly line of said Plat No. 36. Thence on and along the Southerly line of said Plat No. 36 to the Southeast corner of the said Plat. Thence Northwesterly on and along the Easterly line of said Plat No. 36 to the point of beginning. Excepting therefrom a fifty foot (50 ft.) wide strip of land, as measured at right angles to the Easterly line of said Plat No. 36, for highway purposes. The above described parcel containing 0.74 acres more or less and subject to all existing easements. AND WHEREAS, the above described property abuts the City of Anoka and the City of Anoka desires to annex said property to improve boundary delineation; and WHEREAS, the City of Anoka desires to detach a parcel of property approximately 0.58 acres in size and legally described as follows: Lot 30, Auditor's Subdivision g96 AND WHEREAS, the above described property abuts the City of Ramsey and the City of Ramsey desires to annex said property to improve boundary delineation. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That this joint resolution of the City of Anoka and the City of Ramsey shall be submitted to the Minnesota Municipal Board with the intent and request that the Municipal Board concurrently detach the above described property from the City of Ramsey and annex the same to the City of Anoka at the earliest possible date.
