Councilmember Hardin introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #92-05-103 RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING PAUL REIFENBERGER, PRINCIPAL OF RAMSEY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL WHEREAS, Paul Reifenberger was Ramsey Elementary School's first Principal in 1975 and has been their only Principal for the past 18 years; and WHEREAS, prior to Ramsey Elementary School, Mr. Reifenberger was Principal at Franklin Elementary School in Anoka and has taught in several other schools, totaling 33 years in education; and WHEREAS, during Mr. Reifenberger's tenure at Ramsey Elementary School, the population growth and subsequent school enrollment in the City of Ramsey has been substantial; and WHEREAS, among other programs, Mr. Reifenberger established and developed one of School District #1 l's first community school programs and was instrumental in developing one of the strongest parent volunteer programs in the District; and WHEREAS, Mr. Reifenberger has actively volunteered for and supported community activities in Ramsey. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby appreciates and recognizes the efforts and contributions of Paul Reifenberger to the community of Ramsey during his tenure as Principal of the Ramsey Elementary School. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Peterson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gilbertson Councilmember Hardin Councilmember Peterson Councilmember Beyer Councilmember Zimmerman and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None and the following were absent: None whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 26th day of May, 1992. ~~~ ~l¢iayor ~~listrato~r~~
