Councilmember Hardin introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #92-05-103 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING PAUL REIFENBERGER, PRINCIPAL OF RAMSEY <br />ELEMENTARY SCHOOL <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Paul Reifenberger was Ramsey Elementary School's first Principal in 1975 and <br />has been their only Principal for the past 18 years; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, prior to Ramsey Elementary School, Mr. Reifenberger was Principal at Franklin <br />Elementary School in Anoka and has taught in several other schools, totaling 33 years in education; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, during Mr. Reifenberger's tenure at Ramsey Elementary School, the population <br />growth and subsequent school enrollment in the City of Ramsey has been substantial; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, among other programs, Mr. Reifenberger established and developed one of School <br />District #1 l's first community school programs and was instrumental in developing one of the strongest <br />parent volunteer programs in the District; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Reifenberger has actively volunteered for and supported community activities <br />in Ramsey. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby appreciates and recognizes the efforts and contributions of <br />Paul Reifenberger to the community of Ramsey during his tenure as Principal of the Ramsey <br />Elementary School. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Peterson <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Hardin <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the <br />26th day of May, 1992. ~~~ <br /> ~l¢iayor <br /> <br />~~listrato~r~~ <br /> <br /> <br />
