Councilmember Beyer introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #92-06-127 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING REQUEST FOR REIMBURSEMENT OF <br />MUNICIPAL EXPENSES FOR PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY ELECTION OF <br />APRIL 7, 1992 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Minnesota Laws of 1992, Chapter 511, Article 1, Section 4 provides for <br />reimbursement of certain Presidential Primary Election expenses which were incurred by cities and <br />towns; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey was notified all requests for reimbursement are to be <br />made on the claim form supplied by the Office of the Minnesota Secretary of State, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, claims forms that are incomplete or not received by the Secretary of State on <br />or before June 8, 1992 will be ineligible for reimbursement; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City's Finance Office completed the claim form in advance of Council <br />authorization due to the deadline of June 8, 1992; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is requesting reimbursement in the amount of $2,369.66 <br />as expenditures eligible for reimbursement; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the actual reimbursement to be received is uncertain, as the Secretary of <br />State will prorate the reimbursement amount based upon total requests received and available <br />funds; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, all reimbursement payments should be received by cities and towns by <br />August 31, 1992. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby affirms and authorizes the request for reimbursement <br />of certain Presidential Primary Election expenses in the amount of $2,369.66 as submitted <br />to the Secretary of State on May 29, 1992 <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Peterson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Hardin <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
