Councilmember Beyer introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #92-06-127 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING REQUEST FOR REIMBURSEMENT OF MUNICIPAL EXPENSES FOR PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY ELECTION OF APRIL 7, 1992 WHEREAS, Minnesota Laws of 1992, Chapter 511, Article 1, Section 4 provides for reimbursement of certain Presidential Primary Election expenses which were incurred by cities and towns; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey was notified all requests for reimbursement are to be made on the claim form supplied by the Office of the Minnesota Secretary of State, and WHEREAS, claims forms that are incomplete or not received by the Secretary of State on or before June 8, 1992 will be ineligible for reimbursement; and WHEREAS, the City's Finance Office completed the claim form in advance of Council authorization due to the deadline of June 8, 1992; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is requesting reimbursement in the amount of $2,369.66 as expenditures eligible for reimbursement; and WHEREAS, the actual reimbursement to be received is uncertain, as the Secretary of State will prorate the reimbursement amount based upon total requests received and available funds; and WHEREAS, all reimbursement payments should be received by cities and towns by August 31, 1992. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby affirms and authorizes the request for reimbursement of certain Presidential Primary Election expenses in the amount of $2,369.66 as submitted to the Secretary of State on May 29, 1992 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Peterson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gilbertson Councilmember Beyer Councilmember Peterson Councilmember Hardin Councilmember Zimmerman and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None
