Councilmember Beyer introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #92-06-134 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS <br />AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />#92-06 (SEALCOATING OF TRAPROCK COMMONS ADDITION) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Ramsey City Council on May 12, 1992, the <br />City Engineer has prepared contract documents and specifications for the sealcoating of Traprock <br />Commons Addition and has presented such contract documents and specifications to the Council for <br />approval. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That such contract documents and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a <br />part hereof, are hereby approved. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the <br />Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such <br />approved contract documents and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for 10 <br />days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the City <br />Administrator until 2:00 p.m. on July 2, 1992 at which time they will be publicly opened in the <br />Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal Center by the City Administrator and City Engineer, <br />will then be tabulated, and will be considered by the Ramsey City Council at 7:30 P.M. on July <br />14, 1992 in the Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during <br />consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of <br />responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Administrator and <br />accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City of <br />Ramsey for five (5) percent of the amount of such bid. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Peterson <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Hardin <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City ~Cou~cil this the 9th <br />day of June, 1992. fl~,.~~ .~~~_ <br />"City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />
