Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #92-06-142 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #92-15 (SANITARY SEWER AND WATERMAIN <br />LATERALS AND STREET CONSTRUCTION FOR PHASE ONE OF WOOD <br />POND HILLS ADDITION) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Resolution #92-05-098 authorized the preparation of plans and <br />specifications for the above referenced work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the sanitary sewer and watermain <br />laterals and street construction for Phase One of Wood Pond Hills Addition, bids were received, <br />opened and tabulated according to law; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following quotes were received <br /> <br />Bidder <br />S.J. Louis Construction, Inc. <br />Barbarossa & Sons, Inc. <br />Kenko, Inc. <br />Latour Construction, Inc. <br />Arcon Construction <br />Northdale Construction <br />Brown & Cris <br />Hank Weidema Excavating <br />Landwchr Heavy Moving, Inc. <br />Burschville Construction <br />S. M. Hentges <br /> <br />Amount of Bid <br /> $376,499.OO <br /> $412,447.65 <br /> $415,859.88 <br /> $439,938.55 <br /> $440,088.99 <br /> $441,326.50 <br /> $442,087.55 <br /> $457,540.22 <br /> $470,097.50 <br /> $512,300.25 <br /> $522,084.00 <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, it appears that S.J. Louis Construction, Inc. is the lowest <br />responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with S.J. Louis Construction, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the <br />sanitary sewer and watermain laterals and street construction for Phase One of Wood Pond <br />Hills Addition Schedules A, B, C, & E in the amount of $ 376,499. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br />the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the <br />next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Zimmerman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereofi <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Hardin <br />Councilmember Beyer <br /> <br /> <br />
