Councilmember Hardin introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #92-06-147 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING BUDGET AMENDMENT #2 TO ESTABLISH A <br />BUDGET FOR THE 1992 ENVIRONMENTAL EXPO <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at the Budget Committee meeting of March 19, 1992, Staff requested authorization <br />to proceed with plans for the 1992 Arbor Day and Environmental Expo activities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Staff recommended the following budget for these events: <br /> <br />Included in the 1992 General Fund Budget for Cost Center 5612 (Tree Disease Control): <br /> Ramsey Elementary School pupil "Tree Endowment" for River <br /> Birch trees to give to the fourth grade students $ 81.00 <br /> <br />Additional budget allocation was requested as follows: <br />Naturalist-led Environmental Education programs including a Bald Eagle <br />Postage and miscellaneous for the Citizens Green Tree Committee <br /> <br />$185.00 <br />200.00 <br /> <br />Total additional budget request <br /> <br />$385.00 <br /> <br />Total recommended budget <br /> <br />$466.00 <br /> <br />The total recommended budget does not include the cost of Staff time for the planning of these activities, <br />and the day of the Expo (April 25, 1992), with the exception of the position of Environmental Specialist, <br />will be staffed with volunteers; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Budget Committee was in agreement with Staft's recommendations and, as <br />these activities meet the requirements for expenditures from the Landfill Tipping Fee Fund - Restricted <br />Portion, recommends the Ramsey City Council approve additional funding in the amount of Three <br />Hundred Eighty-Five and No/100 Dollars ($385.00) for the 1992 Environmental Expo activities with the <br />funding source the Landfill Tipping Fee Fund. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />I) <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby establishes an expenditure budget for the 1992 <br />Environmental Expo in the amount of $385.00 within the Landfill Tipping Fee Fund - Restricted <br />Portion. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the Finance Officer is hereby instructed to enter this Budget Amendment #2 to the City's <br />financial system to cause this amendment to be reflected in the City's financial records. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Beyer and <br />upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Hardin <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
