Councilmember Hardin introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #92-06-151 RESOLUTION GRANTING AN EXTENSION OF THE CONTRACT FOR CURBSIDE RECYCLING PICK-UP WITH ACE SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT, INC. WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is required to provide curbside recycling service for its residents under the 1989 SCORE Legislation; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has received competitive bids from independent contractors performing curbside recycling service; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council approved the current contract at its February 27, 1991 meeting; and WHEREAS, this contract will expire on July 1, 1992; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council, at its June 8, 1992 meeting, authorized an extension of the current contract with Ace Solid Waste Management, Inc. at the contracted price until July 1, 1993. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) 2) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a one year contract with Ace Solid Waste Management, Inc. for curbside recycling services for the period of July 1, 1992 through July 1, 1993. That this contract extension shall be under the same terms of the contract approved by the City Council on February 27, 1991. The motion of the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Beyer and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gilbertson Councilmember Hardin Councilmember Beyer Councilmember Peterson Councilmember Zimmerman and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None and the following were absent: None whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 23rd day of June, 1992. //~~~
