WHEREAS, at the Budget Committee meeting of June 23, 1992, Staff further recommended the City establish the following fee effective August 1, 1992: Building construction: Water Availability Charge (WAC) New $725.00/residential equivalent AND WHEREAS, the Minnesota Department of Health has notified the City of Ramsey that the sum of $5.71 annually must be collected from every service connection served by Ramsey's water supply with one-fourth of the total yearly fee due to the Minnesota Department of Health on or before September 30, 1992; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey must include this "fee for safe drinking water testing program mandated by federal law" beginning with the utility billings for the second quarter of 1992 to comply with the requirements established by the Laws of Minnesota 1992, Chapter 513, Article 6, Section 2; and WHEREAS, the Budget Committee concurred with Staff's recommendations and directed the Finance Officer to prepare this resolution for Council approval. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby amends the City's municipal water and sewer rates, charges and fees effective June 29, 1992 as detailed within the body of this resolution. 2) That the Ramsey City Council hereby establishes a Water Availability Charge (WAC) in the amount of $725.00 per residential equivalent effective August 1, 1992. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof.'
