Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #92-07-174 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE STATE AUTHORIZATION OF SPEED LIMITS FOR ROANOKE STREET N,W. BETWEEN 153RD AVENUE N.W. AND JUNIPER RIDGE DRIVE N.Wo WHEREAS, on May 26, 1992 Ramsey City Council passed a resolution requesting the State Commissioner of Transportation perform an engineering study to determine the safe and reasonable speed for that section of Roanoke Street N.W. from 153rd Avenue N.W. to Juniper Ridge Drive N.W.; and WHEREAS, said study was completed and an appropriate speed limit of 40 mph has been authorized pursuant to Mn/DOT notice dated June 25, 1992. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby accepts the speed limit authorization of 40 mph for this segment of street. 2) That the City Administrator is hereby ordered to cause appropriate signage to be erected. 3) That the Ramsey Police Department will monitor speeds along this road in the evening hours. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Beyer and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gilbertson Councilmember Zimmerman Councilmember Beyer Councilmember Peterson Councilmember Hardin and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None and the following were absent: None whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ram~y Cit_y.Qsuncil this t he14thdayofJuly, 1992. ~ ,~~~~~~ f~or ATTEST{) .~ k..~ity ]~clm~istrat0r - -
