Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #92-08-184 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR ALTERNATE F OF <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #92-15 (SANITARY SEWER AND WATERMAIN <br />LATERALS AND STREET CONSTRUCTION FOR PHASE TWO OF WOOD <br />POND HILLS ADDITION) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Resolution #92-05-098 authorized the preparation of plans and <br />specifications for the above referenced work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the sanitary sewer and watermain <br />laterals and street construction for the Wood Pond Hills Addition, bids were received, opened and <br />tabulated according to law; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following bids were received: <br /> <br />Bi{10er <br />S.J. Hentges <br /> <br />Amount of Bid <br /> <br />$376,499.00 <br />$412,447.65 <br />$415,859.88 <br />$439,938.55 <br />$440,088.99 <br />$441,326.50 <br />$442,087.55 <br />$457,540.22 <br />$470,097.50 <br />$512,300.25 <br />$522,084.00 <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS, S.J. Louis Construction, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the developer wishes to proceed with Phase Two of the subdivision for <br />which Alternate "F" included in the above bid represents the necessary construction costs; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the developer will enter into a development agreement which will ensure the <br />costs associated with the Phase Two development will be recovered in accordance with the City's <br />subdivision development policy. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with S.J. Louis Construction, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the <br />sanitary sewer and watermain laterals and street construction for Phase Two of Wood Pond <br />Hills Addition Schedule F in the amount of $42,365.50. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Administrator is hereby authorized to direct award of the work to the <br />contractor, S.J. Louis Construction, Inc., contingent upon the developer signing the <br />approved development agreement and depositing the required financial sureties with the <br />City's Finance Officer. <br /> <br /> <br />
