Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #92-10-255 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DENYING THE REQUEST BY DANIEL KARST, JR. FOR A <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT AMENDMENT TO EXPAND DANNY'S <br />ALUMINUM PROCESSING, INC. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on March 25, 1991, Daniel Karst, Jr. of Danny's Aluminum Processing, <br />Inc., applied for a conditional use permit amendment to allow an expansion of the Aluminum <br />Processing Facility that would include disassembly of engines and transmissions; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on April 11, 1991, the Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a <br />public hearing and recommended that City Council approve the request for a conditional use permit <br />amendment; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, subsequent to the April 11, 1991 Planning and Zoning Commission <br />meeting, Daniel Karst, Jr. requested that his request for a conditional use permit amendment be <br />tabled from City Council consideration until further notice; and <br /> <br /> W'HEREAS, in June, 1992, Mr. Daniel Karst, Jr., reactivated his request for a <br />conditional use permit amendment which was revised to also include the capability to act as a <br />redemption center for other non-hazardous metals and batteries; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on September 1, 1992, the Planning and Zoning Commission conducted <br />an additional public hearing regarding Daniel Karst, Jr.'s revised conditional use permit <br />amendment and recommended City Council approval of same; and <br /> <br /> WItEREAS, on September 22, 1992, the City Council reviewed the request for a <br />conditional use permit amendment, adopted Findings of Fact ~0322, and by motion voted to deny <br />the request for a conditional use permit amendment; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Section 9.03.04 of the Ramsey City Code requires that denials of requests <br />for conditional use permits be accomplished by resolution. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />l) <br /> <br />That the City Council denies, based on Findings of Fact #0322, the request by Daniel <br />Karst, Jr. for a conditional use permit amendment to expand Danny's Aluminum <br />Processing, Inc., to include disassembly of engines and transmissions and acceptance of <br />other non-hazardous metals and batteries. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Zimmerman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Hardin <br /> <br />Resolution /P)2-10-255 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
