Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #92-10-278 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY ENGINEER TO REQUEST, FROM <br />MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, A WARRANT STUDY <br />FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A SIGNALIZED INTERSECTION FOR TItE <br />INTERSECTION OF 167TH AVENUE N.W. AND TRUNK HIGHWAY #47 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the intersection of 167th Avenue N.W. and Trunk Highway #47 involve <br />mutual jurisdictions of the Minnesota Department of Transportation and the City of Ramsey; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, both 167th Avenue N.W. and Trunk Highway #47 are collector and <br />arterial streets within the City of Ramsey; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, traffic along these streets have been increasing in proportion with the rapid <br />growth of the City of Ramsey; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Engineer has received a petition signed by a considerable number <br />of Ramsey and area residents requesting a signalized intersection. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Engineer is hereby authorized to request a warrant study by the Minnesota <br />Department of Transportation for the intersection of 167th Avenue N.W. and Trunk <br />Highway #47. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That upon completion of the warrant study, the City Engineer shall report to the City <br />Council as to the findings and recommend what future course of action should be taken. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Beyer and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Hardin <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
