Councilmember Hardin introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #92-10-283 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ALLOCATING UNEXPENDED <br />BITUMINOUS PATHS AT CENTRAL PARK <br /> <br />CDBG FUNDS FOR <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is a participant in the Anoka County Community <br />Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the City received a letter from Jo Ann Wright, Anoka County Community <br />Development Manager, dated September 14, 1992 indicating that the City has $9,090.00 eligible <br />for reallocation as a result of unexpended balances from previous project #861 (River's Bend Park) <br />in the amount of $1,451.00 and project g946 (City Hall Accessibility) in the amount of $7,639.00. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is understood that Community Development Block Grant funds may be <br />used by persons with disabilities and that in accordance with the Americans With Disabilities Act, <br />these desired corrections should be identified by the municipality in a Transition Plan; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey intends to comply with the Americans With Disabilities <br />Act and the Transition Plan will be drafted; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Central Park is the premier park in the City of Ramsey and functions as a <br />focal point for numerous community activities; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Transition Plan prepared in conjunction with the Americans With <br />Disabilities Act will include hard surfacing paths at Central Park to link the various areas of the <br />park and ensure more public participation by those most easily discouraged by unsure surfaces. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the allocation of the unexpended balances from CDBG Projects #861 and g946 in the <br />amount of $9,090.00 for the purpose of providing a hard surface to the pathways at Central <br />Park to link the various activity areas. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Beyer and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Hardin <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Zimmennan <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
