City Staff also <br />~ported that based on a Staff inspection of the site on January 6, 1993, the <br />-Applicant was in compliance with the terms of the conditional use permit for Lot 1, <br />.Block 4, Gateway North Industrial Park Plat #2. <br /> <br />'I~at on January 12, 1993, the City Council directed City Staff to cease proceedings <br />tO cortsider revocation of the conditional use permit based on City Staff's report of <br />compliance with the terms thereof. <br /> <br />That on January I2, 1993, the Applicant was present at the City Council and noted <br />ghat in order to be in compliance with the conditional use permit terms, he had to <br />cease the disassembly of engines and transmissions within the building on Lot 1, <br />which meant a lay-off for a certain number of employees. The Applicant requested <br />tliat City Council consider granting a conditional use permit amendment to allow the <br />disassembly of engines and transmissions within the building in order that the <br />employees could come back to work. The Applicant stated that his request is based <br />on hi.s compliance with the terms of his conditional use permit and that there is a <br />similar facility in Ramsey that is permitte~ to disassemble engines and <br />transmissions within a building. <br /> <br />That on January 12, 1993, the City Council authorized City Staff to process the <br />plicants request for a conditional use permit amendment, in accordance with City <br />de procedures, for the disassembly of engines and transmissions as <br />~xpeditiously as possible. <br />That the Applicant appeared before the Planning and Zoning Commission for a <br />public hearing pursuant to Section 9.03.04 of the Ramsey City Code on February <br />2~ 1993 and that said public hearing was properly advertised and that the minutes of <br />said Public hearing are hereby incorporated by reference. <br /> <br />That the subject property is generally known as 14050 Basalt Street N.W. and is <br />legally described as follows: <br /> <br /> Lot 1, Block 4, Gateway North Indqstrial Park Plat <br /> Minnesota. <br /> <br />That the subject parcel is approximately 1.6 acres iri size. <br /> <br />That the subject parcel is located in the Industrial District. <br /> <br />That the adjacent parcels are zoned Industrial. <br /> <br />#2, Anoka County, <br /> <br /> <br />
