I CouncilmaffjberHardin introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #93-03-038 RESOL~_O~ APPROVING AGREEMENT FOR RESIDENTIAL RECYCLING PROGR~I~I BETWEEN THE CITY OF RAMSEY AND ANOKA COUNTY FOR FUNDIN(~!OI~ 1993 LANDFILL ABATEMENT ACTIVITIES. WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota Legislature enacted the Select Committee on Recycling a~d ~ Environment (SCORE Legislation) which provides for collection of sales tax on solid wastedisP0Sal; and WHEREAS, counties are responsible for the dispersion of said funds to municipalities; and WHEREAS, an agreement between Anoka County and the City of Ramsey is required prior to th~ ¢listribution of funds for municipal landfill abatement programs for SCORE funds reimburseraei~t; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey is eligible for a total of $25,120.60 of SCORE funding for 1993. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSAY,: ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That be City of Ramsey hereby approves the agreement between the City of Ramsey and Anokh COunty regarding the full participation of the City of Ramsey in establishing landfill abat~er/t programs pursuant to SCORE Legislation and funding from Anoka County rega~..ingthe same. 2) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the Mayor and City Administrator to sign the ag!'_ eement and any other necessary documents on behalf of the City. 3) Thavthe SCORE funds, in the amount of $25,120.60, be used to reimburse the City for the cost ~ the City-wide Curbside Recycling Program. The motion !f0r the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Peterson and Opon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor.
