I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Councilmemb~er Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION #93-03-045 <br /> <br />RESOLUT-[°DN AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO <br />MAKE A~PLICATION AND ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE <br />OF MINI~ESOTA FOR GRANT ASSISTANCE FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br />UPDATIN~ Tile SHORELAND MANAGEMENT ORDINANCE <br /> WH.~EAS, the State, as provided by Minnesota Statutes 103F.201-22,1, and Minnesota <br />Rules parts ~!20~2500 through 6120.3900 pertaining to Statewide Standards for 'Management of <br />Shoreland ¢as't; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the State is authorized by the Laws of 1991, Chapter 254, Section 5, <br />Subd. 3 to'p~rovide grant assistance for cities to adopt a shoreland management ordinance <br />consistent with Statewide standards. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has received notification from the Department of <br />Natural ResO .tirce~--': that its shoreland ordinance must be updated by September 1, 1994; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has determined that updating the Shoreland Ordinance <br />will require exPenditure of funds, at a minimum, in the following areas: Planning consultants, <br />engineering fees and publication costs. <br /> <br />NOW THgR. EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSI~Y, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That subject to the available funding, it is hereby requested by the City of Ramsey that an <br /> agreement~ be entered into by the State of Minnesota, acting by and through the <br /> Commj~'ssi~ner of Natural Resources and the City of Ramsey, to provide grant money <br /> assista'nco:up to $5,000.00 matching fund dollars, for the purposes of upgrading the <br /> shoreland management ordinance consistent with Statewide standards. <br /> <br />2) That 'the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized to execute any and all <br /> documgntSnecessary relating to this grant program. <br /> <br />3) That tl~., funding source for the City's share of the cost (estimated to be $3,000 - $3,500) to <br /> update ithe:shoreland management ordinance shall be the City's General Fund. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Hardin and upOn vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />MayOr Gilbertson <br />Coun~ilmember Peterson <br />Coun¢ilmember Hardin <br />Coun~lmember Beyer <br />Coun0ilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following ¥°ted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
