I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />! <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />i$ <br /> <br />Councilmeral~er Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION g93-04-050 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FUNDING FOR THE CITY OF RAMSEY'S <br />FIFTH ANNUAL ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSITION TO BE HELD MAY 1, 1993 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at the Council's Finance Committee meeting of March 23, 1993, Staff <br />presented a d~. aft of the 1993 Environmental Expo agenda and discussed plans for the upcoming <br />tree sale for r0sidents; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, members of the Finance Committee expressed their appreciation for the <br />significant ~egntribution made to the planning and staffing of the 1992 Expo by the Ramsey <br />Citizen's TroeiCommittee; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey Citizen's Tree Committee has participated in the planning of <br />the 1993 EnVironmental Expo and tree sale scheduled for May 1, 1993; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Committee and Staff have requested funding from the City of Ramsey <br />to sponsor aCtivities promoting environmental awareness; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Finance Committee hereby recommends the Ramsey City Council <br />authorize the expenditure of Landfill Tipping Fee funds (restricted portion) in an amount not to <br />exceed One~ Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($1,000.00) for activities which include free packaged <br />seedlings for residents attending, family hands-on environmental education and other activities <br />which are congistent with environmental education. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMS~-~, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That Se Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the expenditure from the Landf'fll Tipping <br />Fee FOnd (restricted portion) in an amount not-to-exceed $1,000.00 for the purpose of <br />envir0mnental education and awareness at the Fifth Annual Environmental Exposition. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Hardin and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor C, ilbertson <br />CounCilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Hardin <br />Cotm~rn~ber Beyer <br />Councilmember Zirnmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
