I I I I I I I I I I I I I Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #93-04-055 RESOLUTION APPROVING CLASSIFICATION AND REQUESTING THAT ANOKA COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS CONVEY THE FOLLOWING FORMALLY TAX FORFEITED PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF RAMSEY FOR UNSPECIFIED PUBLIC USE: P.i.N. 25-32-25-12-0075 W~EREAS, the Anoka County Board of Commissioners under Chapter 282 of Minnesota St~ttutes provide for public sale of land situated in Anoka County which is forfeited to the State of Minnesota for nonpayment of taxes; and WH/~REAS, the classification and sale of tax forfeit land lying within the bounds of any organized tov~n with a taxable value in excess of $20,000 of an incorporated municipality must be approved by the Council of each City insofar as lands located therein are concerned; and WHEREAS, the town board or governing body will be deemed to have approved classificationsale if the County Board is not notified of the disapproval of the classification sale within ninel~y (90) days of the date requested for approval as transmitted to the town board or governing body; and WHEREAS, if the town board or governing body desires to acquire any parcel lying in the town ormuni¢ipality by procedures authorized in Section 282.01, it shall within ninety (90) days of the requested classification and sale, file a written application to the County Board to withhold the Parcel from public sale for one year; and WHErEAs, the City Council of the City of Ramsey has acquired Outlot A of River's Bend Additi0n(PIN 25-32-25-12-0075) for the purpose of drainage and utility purposes; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has found a higher public use for the property known as Outlot A, RiV~er's Bend Addition (PIN 25-32-25-12-0075). NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSE-Y, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Administrator and Mayor are hereby authorized to sign all documents required to recOnvey the property known as Outlot A, River's Bend Addition (PIN 25-23-25-12- 0075) tO the State of Minnesota. 2) That the City Administrator and Mayor are hereby authorized to acquire the property known as Outlot A, River's Bend Addition (PIN 25-23-25-12-0075) from the State of Minnesota for an unspecified public use for the currently appraised.value. 3) That a certified copy of this resolution be forwarded to Anoka County.
