Councilmem§er Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #93-04-058 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT #0333 T© REZONE CERTAIN <br /> PROPERTY FROM B-2 BUSINESS AND R-3 URBAN RESIDENTIAL TO <br /> R-1 URBAN RESIDENTIAL <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City received an application to rezone certain property in accordance <br />with Section .9.03~03 of the Ramsey City Code; and <br /> <br />NOW TItEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY couNCIL OF TItE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That Albin Peterson, hereinafter referred to as "Applicant", has properly applied to rezone <br />certain property from B-2 Business and R-3 Urban Residential to R-1 Urban Residential. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />That the Planning and Zoning Comn-fission conducted a public hearing pursuant to Section <br />9.03.03 of the City Code on March 2, 1993 and that said public hearing Was properly <br />advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated, by reference. <br /> <br />That the property proposed to be rezoned is legally described as follows: <br /> <br />Amber Ridge, Anoka County, Minnesota, except Outlot B. <br /> <br />4. The total area of the property to be rezoned is approximately forty (40) acres. <br /> <br />5. That the subject property is currently zoned B-2 Business and R-3 Urban Residential. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />That the subject property is part of a plat that is bounded on the west by Hwy. #47, on the <br />north by R'~I Rural Residential and R-3 Urban Residential, on the east by R-1 Urban <br />Residential_and on the south by B-1 Business which is currently occupied with a single <br />family dwelling. <br /> <br />That the APplicant is proposing to develop the plat with single family urban residential lots. <br /> <br />That the proposed rezoning will substantially reduce the City's inventory of property <br />available for development with high density or multi-family housing. However, there is a <br />sufficient amount of undeveloped business and industrial property that' would be <br />appropriate for conversion to multi-family zoning. <br /> <br />That the proposed zoning admendment will not substantially adversely impair the use or <br />market value of any surrounding property. <br /> <br />10. That the proposed zoning amendment will not change the essential character of the' area. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Zimmerman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor James Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br />Counciimember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br /> <br />
