Councilm ~ ~ introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #93-05-093 RESOLU~IDN~ APPROVING AGREEMENT WITH ANOKA COUNTY FOR ACCEPTA~c~i--i,[--r AND ENCUMBRANCE OF BONUS S.C.O.R.E. FUNDS WH~.~_~AS,~i the State of Minnesota Legislature enacted the Select Committee on Recycling ~ th~Environment (SCORE Legislation) which provides for collection of sales tax on solid waste diSpoSal; and and WH.~ EAS,~ : counties are responsible for the dispersion of said funds to municipalities; WHEREAS, an agreement between Anoka County and the City of Ramsey is required prior to the ~str~,bufion of funds for municipal lanclffil abatement programs for SCORE funds reimburse~; ~ :i WItERE~S, the City of Ramsey has received $8,422.92 of bonus SCORE funding for exceeding it'~99~ landfill abatement goal. NOW TI-II~EffORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMS~r, ~ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That t~e Oty of Ramsey hereby approves the agreement between the City of Ramsey and Ano~Cog~' nty regarding the full participation of the City of Ramsey in establishing landfill aba~en~programs pursuant to SCORE Legislation and funding from Anoka County regaxfl~,ng hhe same. 2) That:~e ~Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the Mayor and City Administrator to sign the and other documents behalf of the a~ment any necessary on 3) Thati~e ~Upplemental SCORE funds, in the amount of $8,422.92, be used to reimburse the Oit~ for the cost of the Clean-Up Day Program.
