Counc4Une . _ er introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION g93-06-114 RESOLUT[ON APPROVING RECLASSIFICATION AND REQUESTING THAT ANOKA ~tI~ TY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS CONVEY THE FOLLOWING FORMALLY ~,AX FORFEITED PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF RAMSEY FOR OPEN SPACI~ AND DRAINAGE: P.I.N. 06-32-25-22-0005 WHgREAS, the Anoka County Board of Commissioners under Chapter 282 of Minnesota $~tu~s provides for public sale of land situated in Anoka County which is forfeited to the State of~sota for nonpayment of taxes; and WI'!~RI~As, the classification and sale of tax forfeit land lying within the bounds of any organized t0'im n~rith a taxable value in excess of $20,000 of an incorporated municipality must be approved by~e Council of each City insofar as lands located therein are concerned; and W~t~REAS, the town board or governing body will be deemed to have approved elassificati0~ sal~ if the County Board is not notified of the disapproval of the classification sale within nine~ (90) days of the date requested for approval as transmitted to the town board or governing ~b~ y; and I lO I I I I WH 'I~REAS, ff the town board or governing body desires to acquire any parcel lying in the town or~.tm ~ici,' 'pality~" by procedures authorized in Section 282.01, it shall, within ninety (90) days of the ~u~sted classification and sale, file a written application to the County Board to withhold th~, gai-~l from public sale for one year; and WH~~, the City Council of the City of Ramsey has acquired PIN 25-32-25-12-0075 for the purpo~ of a park; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has failed to develop the property within five (5) years of acquisition~for ~tated purpose. NOW TH/~t.~.EI~ORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF ~HE CITY OF RAMSi~, ~NOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows. r 1) That thg ~ Administrator and Mayor are hereby authorized to sign all documents required to rec!a~, sify the property known as PIN 06-23-25-22-0005 for open space and drainage. 2) That ~ Ci~ Administrator is hereby authorized to record and file all required documents with ~l~ard~ to the City's acquisition and reclassification of the property known as PIN 06- 32-25~2-0005. 3) That a eahntJfied copy of this resolution be forwarded to Anoka County.
