I I I I I I I I I I I I Councilmemb r Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #93-09-195 RESOLUT!~DNi CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSM~i~IT }~OR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #93-03 (SEALCOATING AND CRACKFILI/~IN~G IMPROVEMENT TO OAKRIDGE ESTATES ADDITION) T WHEI~EAS, by a resolution passed by the City Council on September 14, 1993, the City AdminiS~at~ was directed to prepare a proposed assessment of the cost of the improvement sealcoating and cr~ckfilling of Oakridge Estates Addition (Project g93-03); and WHEREAS, the City Administrator has notified the City Council that such proposed assessment hag be*n completed and fLled in his office for public inspection. [ , NOW THE~. FORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSE~Y, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That a[public hearing shall be held on October 12, 1993 at 7:00 p.m. at the Ramsey Munie!paliCenter, to pass upon such proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons owning property affected by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard~ith~eference to such assessment. 2) That th~ City Administrator is hereby directed to cause a notice of the public hearing on the prop0s[ed assessment to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior.t~ tho hearing, and he shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. He shall a~so gause mailed notice to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the assesa~en~ roll not less than two weeks prior to the hearings. 3) That fl~e owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the assesagaentlby the County Auditor, pay the whole of the assessment of such property, with inter~ ac0rUed to the date of payment to the City, except that no interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of the assessment. The owner [ma~ at any time, thereafter, pay to the City the entire amount of the assessment remain,lng .~npaid, with interest accrued to December 31 of the year in which such payment is made. Such payment must be made before November 15 or interest will be charged througl~ D6cember 31 of the succeeding year.
