I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Councflmemb~r P~terson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #93-09-197 <br /> <br />RESOLUTI)N[ CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED <br />ASSESSM~I ~T ~FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #93-05 (SEALCOATING AND <br />CRACKFII~] ,Ilq, G IMPROVEMENT TO GORHAM'S SANDY ACRES ADDITION <br />AND UNPL:riTtED SECTION 24) <br /> WHEI tEAS, by a resolution passed by the City Council on September 14, 1993, the <br />City Admini~t 'atO~ was directed to prepare a proposed assessment of the cost of the improvement <br />sealcoafing an l er~, ekfilling of Gorham's Sandy Acres Addition and Unplatted Section 24 (Project <br />g93-05); and~:: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Administrator has notified the City Council that such proposed <br />assessment h~ ~ be~n completed and fried in his office for public inspection. <br /> <br />NOW THEI~!~FORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEy, ~NOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That ~a public hearing shall be held on October 12, 1993 at 7:00 p.m. at the Ramsey <br /> Munie ~al~Center, to pass upon such proposed assessment and at such time and place all <br /> perSOn ~ o~ning property affected by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be <br /> heard~itith~reference to such assessment. <br /> <br />2) That ~[: City Administrator is hereby directed to cause a notice of the public hearing on the <br /> propOs ~d ~issessment to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks <br /> prior t~ th6 hearing, and he shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. He <br /> shall i~ so 9ause mailed notice to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the <br /> assesSt ~en~roll not less than two weeks prior to the hearings. <br /> <br />3) That rise owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the <br /> assess, foent; by the County Auditor, pay the whole of the assessment of such property, with <br /> inter~.~ accrued to the date of payment to the City, except that no interest shall be charged if <br /> the e!a~r re 0ssessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of the assessment. The <br /> owner lma~ at any time, thereafter, pay to the City the entire amount of the assessment <br /> remaln~ng ~inpaid, with interest accrued to December 31 of the year in which such payment <br /> is ma.~.
