I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br /> Councilmemb P~terson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #93-09-200 <br />RESOLUTt0Ni CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED <br />ASSESSM~T~ FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #93.08 (OVERLAYING <br />IMPROVE~.EI~r TO 161ST AVENUE N.W. BETWEEN ARMSTRONG BLVD. <br />N.W. (COI~T~ ROAD #83) AND VARIOLITE STREET N.W.) <br /> WI-IEI~E~iS, by a resolution passed by the City Council on September 14, 1993, the <br />City AdminiStrate ~ was directed to prepare a proposed assessment of the cost of the overlaying <br />improvemen[ io l~lst Avenue N.W. between Armstrong Blvd. N.W. (County Road #83) and <br />Variolite S~e~ N. IV. (Project #93-08); and <br /> WHE. I~E~S, the City Administrator has notified the City Council that such proposed <br />assessment h~ be~n completed and ~ed in his office for public inspection. <br /> [ <br />NOW THE~F~RE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSE¥, ~NOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That aipublic hearing shall be held on October 12, 1993 at 7:00 p.m. at the Ramsey <br /> Muni¢~al~enter, to pass upon such proposed assessment and at such time and place all <br /> persog'~.o.~ning property affected by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be <br /> heard~ith~reference to such assessment. <br /> <br />2) That ~ C'~t.~ y Administrator is hereby directed to cause a notice of the public hearing on the <br /> propo.~d ~ssessment to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks <br /> prior ~{~ th~: hearing, and he shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. He <br /> shall ;itlso ~ause mailed notice to be given to the owner of each parcel described in the <br /> assesS~en~roll not less than two weeks prior to the hearings. <br /> <br />3) That ~e OWner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certification of the <br /> asses~fl~eni.by the County Auditor, pay the whole of the assessment of such property, with <br /> inter~{ acq~'ued to the date of payment to the City, except that no interest shall be charged if <br /> the ei)~re t~s~ sessment is paid within 30 days from the adoption of the assessment. The <br /> owner [ma~ at any time, thereafter, pay to the City the entire amount of the assessment <br /> rema~._ng~nPaid, with interest accrued to December 31 of the year in which such payment <br /> is ma~. Such payment must be made before November 15 or interest will be charged <br /> throug~ D,cember 31 of the succeeding year. <br />The motion f~ tl~ adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Beyer and up~h v~te being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> Mayor~ilbertson <br /> Coune~me~nber Peterson <br /> Co~mO!l~ber Beyer <br /> Couneflm~nber Hardin <br /> Count' ~n ~gnber Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the follow!ng Voted against the same: <br /> [ <br /> <br /> None ~ <br /> <br /> <br />
