I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Councilme~ Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its <br />~Idoption: ~ :~ <br /> I RESOLUTION g93-09-218 <br /> <br /> a RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT g0346 RELATING TO <br /> CURTIS~ T!TTERUD'S REQUEST FOR n CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO <br /> DM~ LT~IN AN ACCESSORY APARTMENT IN a SINGLE FAMILY <br /> LING UNIT IN THE R-1 RURAL RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT <br /> WI!~REAS, Curtiss and Blanche Titterud, hereinafter referred to as "Applicants", have <br />properly apl~l~ed ~or a Conditional Use Permit to maintain an accessory apartment in a single family <br />dwelling uni~in flae R-1 Rural Residential District on the property generally known as 6865 162nd <br />Lane N.W. abd legally described as follows: <br /> <br />CITY <br />1. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />That part,lof the east half of the Northwest Quarter of Section 15, Township 32, Range 25, <br />Anolc~ COunty, Minnesota, described as follows: Commencing at a point on the West line <br />of th4 eat!.t half of the Northwest Quarter a distance of 1,356 feet north of the Southwest <br />corne~r thOreof. For purposes of this <br />deSor~ofiqn, the south line of said Northwest Quarter is assumed to bear north 89 degrees <br />38 mi~ utes east. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />OF t~AI~ISEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> i . <br />Tha~ the Applicants appeared before the Planmng and Zoning Commission for a public <br />hearh~g pttrsuant to Section 9.03.04 of the Ramsey City Code on September 7, 1993, and <br />that ~ pgblic hearing was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing <br />are h~eby incorporated by reference. <br />That~e subject property is approximately one (1) acre in size. <br />Thatthe subject property is zoned R-1 Rural Residential. <br />That.the sm'rOunding properties are also zoned R-1 Rural Residential. <br /> i <br />That aecoi:ding to Ramsey City Code Section 9.20.11, the R- 1 Rural Residential District is <br />intended for single family dwelling units. <br /> <br />That the Applicants are currently utilizing the lower level of the dwelling on the subject <br />prope~ as an accessory apartment. <br />That ~e Applicants have submitted a petition signed by twelve (12) area property owners <br />statin~ their support of the request for a conditional use permit for an accessory apartment. <br /> <br />That 'the Applicants are at retired status and resides on 'the main level of the dwelling unit <br />while in Minnesota, approximately 6 months a year. <br />That the lower level accessory apartment is generally occupied 12 months a year. <br />That t~e Applicants have stated that the apartment provides opportunity for property <br />securi¢ agd caretaking for those times when the Applicant is not residing in the State of <br /> <br /> <br />
