I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I Councilme~ Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its ~Idoption: ~ :~ I RESOLUTION g93-09-218 a RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT g0346 RELATING TO CURTIS~ T!TTERUD'S REQUEST FOR n CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO DM~ LT~IN AN ACCESSORY APARTMENT IN a SINGLE FAMILY LING UNIT IN THE R-1 RURAL RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT WI!~REAS, Curtiss and Blanche Titterud, hereinafter referred to as "Applicants", have properly apl~l~ed ~or a Conditional Use Permit to maintain an accessory apartment in a single family dwelling uni~in flae R-1 Rural Residential District on the property generally known as 6865 162nd Lane N.W. abd legally described as follows: CITY 1. 3. 4. 5. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE OF t~AI~ISEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: i . Tha~ the Applicants appeared before the Planmng and Zoning Commission for a public hearh~g pttrsuant to Section 9.03.04 of the Ramsey City Code on September 7, 1993, and that ~ pgblic hearing was properly advertised and that the minutes of said public hearing are h~eby incorporated by reference. That~e subject property is approximately one (1) acre in size. Thatthe subject property is zoned R-1 Rural Residential. That.the sm'rOunding properties are also zoned R-1 Rural Residential. i That aecoi:ding to Ramsey City Code Section 9.20.11, the R- 1 Rural Residential District is intended for single family dwelling units. That the Applicants are currently utilizing the lower level of the dwelling on the subject prope~ as an accessory apartment. That ~e Applicants have submitted a petition signed by twelve (12) area property owners statin~ their support of the request for a conditional use permit for an accessory apartment. That 'the Applicants are at retired status and resides on 'the main level of the dwelling unit while in Minnesota, approximately 6 months a year. That the lower level accessory apartment is generally occupied 12 months a year.
