Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION g94-04-071 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING MUNICIPAL STATE AID HIGHWAY WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has adopted a Comprehensive Plan which provides for a system of arterial and collector thoroughfare; and WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota has established a Municipal State Aid Street System (MSAS) under Chapter 162 of the State Statutes which promotes the construction and maintenance of such an arterial and collector system; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Ramsey to modify the designated MSAS top conform to its changing transportation needs. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the following MSAS segment be added to the system: A segment connecting Highway #10 at its intersection with Traprock Street N.W., northward a distance of 0.42 miles to intersect with non-existent segment 104. 2) That the City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to forward two certified copies, of this resolution to the Commission of Transportation for consideration and, that upon approval of the revisions of said road or portion thereof, that same be constructed, improvement and maintained as a pan of the MSAS of the City of Ramsey. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Hardin and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Couneilmember Zimmerman Counoilmember Hardin Couneilmember Peterson and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None and the following were absent: Mayor Gilbertson Couneilmember Beyer whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 26th day of April, 1994. ~.~TTEST:D I ,,,,~ty~A3ministtatoF - -t
