Couneilmember Hardin introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION g94-04-078 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT <br />FOR coNSULTING SERVICES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A TAX <br />INCREMENT DISTRICT FOR THE ANOKA ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE (AEC) <br />FACILITY <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has received a request for the extension of City water and sewer to <br />the future location of the AEC facility; and <br /> <br /> WHI~REAS, the City has reviewed possible funding sources for the service extension <br />and found that the most economically sound source may be tax increment financing; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, due to changes in the tax increment financing statutes it may be <br />advantageous to use an outside consultant for document production; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has received a quote from Wilson Development Services in the <br />amount of $4.500.00; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds in the Economic Development Authority budget <br />for this expenditure. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COU. NCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Mayor and City Administrator are directed to enter into an agreement with Wilson <br />Development Services in an amount not to exceed $4,500 for the preparation of the <br />documents for the creation of a Tax Increment Financing District, to include the AEC <br />facilit~ site. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That a signed copy of this resolution shall be provided to the Finance Office for budgetary <br />purposes. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Zimmerman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Couneilmember Hardin <br />Coun¢ilmember Zimmerman <br />Coun¢ilmember Peterson <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the follOWing abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson <br />CounOilmember Beyer <br /> <br /> <br />
