Couneilmember Hardin introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION g94-04-078 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT FOR coNSULTING SERVICES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A TAX INCREMENT DISTRICT FOR THE ANOKA ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE (AEC) FACILITY WHEREAS, the City has received a request for the extension of City water and sewer to the future location of the AEC facility; and WHI~REAS, the City has reviewed possible funding sources for the service extension and found that the most economically sound source may be tax increment financing; and WHEREAS, due to changes in the tax increment financing statutes it may be advantageous to use an outside consultant for document production; and WHEREAS, the City has received a quote from Wilson Development Services in the amount of $4.500.00; and WHEREAS, there are sufficient funds in the Economic Development Authority budget for this expenditure. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COU. NCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA. 1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are directed to enter into an agreement with Wilson Development Services in an amount not to exceed $4,500 for the preparation of the documents for the creation of a Tax Increment Financing District, to include the AEC facilit~ site. 2) That a signed copy of this resolution shall be provided to the Finance Office for budgetary purposes. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Couneilmember Hardin Coun¢ilmember Zimmerman Coun¢ilmember Peterson and the following voted against the same: None and the follOWing abstained: None and the following were absent: Mayor Gilbertson CounOilmember Beyer
