Councilmember Peterson introduced the follow~g resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #94-06-118 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND <br />SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT ~P)4-11 (SEALCOAT AND CRACK FILL SECTION 6 <br />UNPLATTED) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Ramsey City Council on May 24, <br />1994, the Cit~ Engineer has prepared contract documents and specifications for the sealcoating and <br />crack filling of Section 6 Unplatted and has presented such contract documents and specifications <br />to the Council for approval. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) That Such contract documents and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and <br /> made a part hereof, are hereby approved. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and <br />in the Construction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such <br />improvement under such approved contract documents and specifications. The <br />advertisement shall be published for 21 days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state <br />that bids will be received by the City Administrator until 2:00 p.m. on July 8, 1994 at <br />whieh~time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal <br />Center by the City Engineer and the City Clerk (or their representatives), will then be <br />tabulated, and will be considered by the Ramsey City Council at 7:30 p.m. on July 12, <br />1994 in the Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during <br />consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of <br />responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City <br />Administrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified <br />check payable to the City of Ramsey for five (5) percent of the amount of such bid. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Hardin and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Hardin <br />Counc~lmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Zimme~rnan <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
