Councilmem~r Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #94-06-135 RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #94-17 (RAMSEY-ANOKA WATER SYSTEM INTERCONNECT) WHEREAS, a motion was adopted by the Ramsey City Council on April 12, 1994, authorizing the preparation of plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and WHEREAS, Resolution g94-05-100 was passed on May 24, 1994, accepting the plans and specifica~on and authorizing the advertisement for bids for the above referenced work; and WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Ramsey-Anoka Water System Interconnect, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law on June 17, 1994; and WHEREAS, the following bids were received: Bidder Amount of Bid W.B. Miller, Inc. Penn Contracting $39,514.00 $54,536.00 AND WHEREAS, it appears that W.B. Miller, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSE¥, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) 2) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with W.B. Miller in the name of the City of Ramsey for the Ramsey-Anoka Water System Interconnect (Improvement Project g94-17) in the amount of $39,514.00. That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the d.e~osit$ made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Beyer and upon voting being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gilbertson Councilmember Zimmerman Councilmember Beyer Councilmember Hardin Councilmember Peterson and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None
