Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #94-07-141 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />MAINTENANCE PROGRAM - <br /> <br /> BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br /> #94-13 THROUGH #94-14 (1994 STREET <br />BITUMINOUS OVERLAYING) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, resolutions were adopted by the Ramsey City Council on May 24, 1994, <br />authorizing the preparation of plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, resolutions were adopted by the Ramsey City Council on June 14, 1994, <br />approving their plans and specifications and authorizing the advertisement for bids for the above <br />referenced work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 1994 Street Maintenance <br />Program, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law on July 8, 1994; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following bids were received: <br /> <br />Bidder <br /> <br />Amount of Bid <br /> <br />W.B. Miller, Inc. <br />Hardrives, Inc. <br />Buck Blactop, Inc. <br />Northwest Asphalt, Inc. <br />Bituminous Consulting & Contracting Co., Inc. <br /> <br />$68,250.00 <br />$74,555.00 <br />$77,642.50 <br />$78,325.00 <br />$81,152.50 <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that W.B. Miller, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with W.B. Miller, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the 1994 Street <br />Maintenance Program - Bituminous Overlaying (Improvement Projects #94-13 through <br />g94-14) in the amount of $68,250.00. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br />the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the <br />next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mayor Gilbertson <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilrnember Beyer <br />Councilmember Hardin <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
