Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION ~)4-08-153 RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING THE INDUCTION OF NILS SUNDQUIST AS THE 1994 ADDITION TO THE RAMSEY BUSINESS AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT HALL OF FAME WHEREAS, our business community forms the economic structure of our City as well as the quality of life and community spirit; and WHEREAS, our businesses and industries offer goods and services which provide comfort and convenience, and sustain the health, safety and welfare of the City residents; and WHEREAS, Nils Sundquist has been a driving force behind the development of the City of Ramsey's economic growth and well-being; and WHEREAS, Mr. Sundquist has been involved with numerous programs developed and offered by the City of Ramsey. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, AN~OKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey hereby recognizes Nils Sundquist as the 1994 inductee into the City of Ramsey's Business and Economic Development Hall of Fame for his involvement in the community and his contributions to the economic growth and well-being of the City of Ramsey. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Hardin and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gilbenson Councilmember Peterson Councilmember Hardin Councilmember Zirnmerman and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None and the following were absent: Councilmember Beyer whereupon said resolution was ~[~lared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 9th day )8~yor James k/Gilbehson ~ CounciJmember Glen D.
