Councilmember Hardin introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #94-08-155 RESOLUTION APPOINTING A RESPONSIBLE AUTHORITY AND ASSIGNING DUTIES WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes, Section 13.02, Subdivision 16, as amended, requires that the City !of Ramsey appoint one person as the Responsible Authority to administer the requirements for collection, storage, use and dissemination of data on individuals, within the City; and WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council shares concern expressed by the Legislature on the responsibl~ use of all City data and wishes to satisfy this concern by mediately appointing an administrafivdy qualified Responsible Authority as required under the statute. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSE~Y, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council of Ramsey appoints Kay McAloney as the Responsible Authority for the purposes of meeting ali requirements of Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 13, as men.de.d, and with rules as lawfully promulgated by the Commissioner of Administration. 2) That the Responsible Authority shall require the requesting party to pay the actual cost of making, certifying, and compiling copies and of preparing summary data. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: MayorGilbertson Councilmember Hardin Couneilmember Zimmerman Councilmember Peterson and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None and the following were absent: Councilmember Beyer whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey C~_~Council this the 9th day of ~ugust, 1994. --'~ o~.);.~z ~ ~i~d~dS~tor ·
