Councilmember Hardin introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #94-08-168 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A BUDGET AMENDMENT FOR THE CAPITAL <br />PURCHASE OF TWO DIGITAL PAGERS FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at the Fire Board meeting of Wednesday, August 17, 1994, there was <br />approval for the addition of two additional fire fighters; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is necessary that all fire fighters are provided a means of quick notification <br />in the event Of'emergency or fire; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at the Council's Finance Committee meeting of August 22, 1994, staff <br />presented a request for the purchase of two digital pagers for the additional fire fighters; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the funding of approximately $900 is available through budget reallocations <br />in the Adopted 1994 General Fund Budget; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Finance Committee approved this recommendation and hereby <br />recommends ~at the Ramsey City Council authorize the purchase and funding sources as detailed <br />within this resOlution. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the capital purchase of two digital pagers <br />for a total not to exceed $900. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the budget reallocation of funds in the <br />Adopted 1994 General Fund Budget as detailed in this resolution. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Beyerand upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gil bertson <br />Councilmember Hardin <br />Counciimember Beyer <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
