Councilmember Hardin introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #94-08-168 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A BUDGET AMENDMENT FOR THE CAPITAL PURCHASE OF TWO DIGITAL PAGERS FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, at the Fire Board meeting of Wednesday, August 17, 1994, there was approval for the addition of two additional fire fighters; and WHEREAS, it is necessary that all fire fighters are provided a means of quick notification in the event Of'emergency or fire; and WHEREAS, at the Council's Finance Committee meeting of August 22, 1994, staff presented a request for the purchase of two digital pagers for the additional fire fighters; and WHEREAS, the funding of approximately $900 is available through budget reallocations in the Adopted 1994 General Fund Budget; and WHEREAS, the Finance Committee approved this recommendation and hereby recommends ~at the Ramsey City Council authorize the purchase and funding sources as detailed within this resOlution. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the capital purchase of two digital pagers for a total not to exceed $900. 2) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the budget reallocation of funds in the Adopted 1994 General Fund Budget as detailed in this resolution. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Beyerand upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gil bertson Councilmember Hardin Counciimember Beyer Councilmember Peterson Councilmember Zimmerman and the following voted against the same: None and the following were absent: None and the following abstained: None
