Councilmember Hardin introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #94-10-217 RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR INSTALLATION OF INSULATION AT 14100 JASPAR STREET N.W. (PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY) WHEREAS, on August 31, 1994, the City of Ramsey purchased the property located at 14100 Jaspar Street N.W. for the purpose of a public works facility; and WHEIIEAS, the Finance Committee approved at their September 12, 1994 meeting, a remodeling bridget for the cement structure located on the site, for doors, HVAC/air exchange, roofing, electrical, landscaping and paving; and WHEREAS, the City Council on September 12, 1994, ratified the Finance Committees budget approval, with not-to-exceed amounts, to be done pursuant to the Minnesota bid law; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the Minnesota bid law, written quotes were obtained for the installation of insulation; and WHEREAS, the following written quotes were received: Metro Home Insulation Koenig Bros. Insulation $ 8,421.00 $10,420.00 AND WHEREAS, it appears that Metro Home Insulation is the lowest bidder. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement with Metro Home Insulation in the name of the City of Ramsey for the installation of insulation at 14100 Jaspar Street N.W. in the amount of $8,421.00. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Councilmember Hardin Councilmember Zimmerman Councilmember Peterson and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None and the following were absent: Mayor Gilbertson Councilmember Beyer
