Councilmember Hardin introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION #94-10-220 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br />INSTALLATION OF PLAY RELATED EQUIPMENT AT SOLSTICE PARK <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on May 12, 1994 the Park and Recreation Commission approved a budget <br />for the development of Solstice Park and forwarded the recommendation to the City Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on May 24, 1994, the City Council approved a budget in an amount not to <br />exceed $35,075.00 for the development of Solstice Park; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, included in the budget was play related equipment including swings, <br />climbers and backhoe style diggers; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the Minnesota bid law, written quotes were obtained for <br />purchase and installation of play related equipment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following written quotes were received for the play-related equipment: <br /> <br />Flanagan Sales (Iron Mountain Forge) <br />Minnesota Playground (Gametime) <br />Earl F. Anderson <br />Value Recreation (Playwofld) <br /> <br />$20,000.00 <br />$19,992.00 <br />$19,975.00 <br />$19,868.00 <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, it appears that Value Recreation is the lowest bidder for the play <br />related equipment at $19,868.00; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Value Recreation will also provide concrete and rubber surface, from the <br />play equipment to the swings, at an additional cost of $132.00. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSE¥, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement <br />with Value Recreation in the name of the City of Ramsey for play-related equipment and <br />additional surfacing in an amount not-to-exceed $20,000.00 <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Zimmerman arid upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Councilmember Hardin <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Peterson <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
