Mayor Oilbers~n introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #94-10-246 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br />PURCHASI~ OF <br />DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />AUTHORIZING A BUDGET AMENDMENT FOR THE <br />SIX ADDITIONAL MINI-RECORDERS FOR THE POLICE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Minnesota Supreme Court decreed that all statements taken from in- <br />custody perso~s must be recorded and the recording retained; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is necessary that all police officers be provided with adequate means to <br />make these rea~rdings; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at the Council's Finance Committee meeting of October 25, 1994, staff <br />presented a request for the purchase of six additional mini-recorders for the Police Department; and <br /> <br /> wHEREAS, the funding in an amount not-to-exceed $630.00 is available through <br />budget reallo~.ations from account #42261-2211 to #45560-2211 in the Adopted 1994 General <br />Fund Budget; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Finance Committee approved this recommendation and hereby <br />recommends t~at the Ramsey City Council authorize the purchase and funding sources as detailed <br />within this resolution. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSE:Y, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> 5 <br /> <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the purchase of six additional mini- <br /> recorders at a price not-to-exceed $630.00. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the budget reallocation of funds in the <br />Adopted 1994 General Fund Budget as detailed in this resolution. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Hardin and upgn vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayoe Gilbertson <br />Couneilmember Hardin <br />Coundlmember Beyer <br />Counfilmember Peterson <br />Coundlmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the folloWing voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
