Mayor Oilbers~n introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #94-10-246 RESOLUTION PURCHASI~ OF DEPARTMENT AUTHORIZING A BUDGET AMENDMENT FOR THE SIX ADDITIONAL MINI-RECORDERS FOR THE POLICE WHEREAS, the Minnesota Supreme Court decreed that all statements taken from in- custody perso~s must be recorded and the recording retained; and WHEREAS, it is necessary that all police officers be provided with adequate means to make these rea~rdings; and WHEREAS, at the Council's Finance Committee meeting of October 25, 1994, staff presented a request for the purchase of six additional mini-recorders for the Police Department; and wHEREAS, the funding in an amount not-to-exceed $630.00 is available through budget reallo~.ations from account #42261-2211 to #45560-2211 in the Adopted 1994 General Fund Budget; and WHEREAS, the Finance Committee approved this recommendation and hereby recommends t~at the Ramsey City Council authorize the purchase and funding sources as detailed within this resolution. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSE:Y, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 5 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the purchase of six additional mini- recorders at a price not-to-exceed $630.00. 2) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the budget reallocation of funds in the Adopted 1994 General Fund Budget as detailed in this resolution. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Hardin and upgn vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayoe Gilbertson Couneilmember Hardin Coundlmember Beyer Counfilmember Peterson Coundlmember Zimmerman and the folloWing voted against the same: None and the following were absent: None and the following abstained: None
