Councilmem~r Hardin introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #94-11-253 RESOLUTiION APPROVING ABATEMENT OF TAXES AND RECLASSIFICATION TO EXEMPT STATUS OF PIN 27-32-25-33-0008, LOCATED 'AT 14100 JASPAR STREET N.W., FOR PAYABLE 1995 WHEREAS, the City purchased the property located at 14100 Jaspar Street on August 31, 1994; and wHEREAs, the deed for the parcel identified by PIN 27-32-25-33-0008 was filed with Anoka County on September 7, 1994 as document #1134351.0 Abstract; and WHEREAS, said property was purchase for the purpose of housing the City of Ramsey Public Works Department; and WHEREAS, the use of said property causes it to become exempt from taxes; and WHEREAS, property deeds filed after August 1st of each year remain identified as taxable propeffies for the year following the filing, even if used for tax exempt purposes; and WHEREAS, to remedy this taxable situation, it is necessary that the City of Ramsey approve and file with Anoka County, a request for abatement of these taxes and reclassification to exempt status for payable 1995 and future years. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSES, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey hereby approves the application to Anoka County for the abatement of taxes and reclassification to exempt status of the parcel identified by PIN 27-32-25-33-0008, located at 14100 Jaspar Street N.W., for payable 1995 and future years. 2) That tile City of Ramsey hereby authorizes the Finance Officer to process all paperwork as required by the Anoka County Auditor's office in this regard. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman ahd upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor: Mayor Gilbertson Councilmember Hardin Councilmember Zimmerman and the following voted against the same: None and the following abstained: None
