• <br />• <br />• <br />Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #94-12-266 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE A CONTRACT WITH RLK ASSOCIATES, <br />LTD. FOR THE COMPLETION OF THE COMPUTERIZED MAPPING <br />COMPONENT OF THE URBAN AND COMMUNITY FORESTRY CHALLENGE <br />GRANT. <br />WHEREAS, the City Council, by prior action, has authorized the submittal of a grant <br />application to the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources under the Urban and Community <br />Forestry Challenge Grant Program; and <br />WHEREAS, this grant application included the development of a computerized map for <br />various types of environmental information; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has received notification of award of a $4,000 grant; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has received a proposal from RLK Associates, LTD to complete <br />the development of a computerized map for various types of environmental information in <br />accordance with the comprehensive plan update. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the City Administrator and the Mayor are hereby authorized and directed to enter into <br />an agreement with RLK Associates, LTD. in an amount not to exceed Five Thousand <br />Dollars ($5,000) to complete the mapping required under the Urban and Community <br />Forestry Challenge Grant. <br />2) That the Finance Officer is directed to charge three thousand dollars ($3,000) of this <br />contract against the grant and fund the remaining two thousand dollars ($2,000) from the <br />abatement activity fund. <br />3) That the City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to take all other actions <br />necessary to complete the requirements of the grant award. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Peterson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Hardin <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />and the following abstained: <br />None <br />
