Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #95-01-030 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT TO THE 1995 ADOPTED <br />GENERAL. FUND BUDGET FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE THREE <br />THOUSAND GALLON FIRE SERVICE DROP TANK FOR THE FIRE <br />DEPARTMENT <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at the Council's Finance Committee meeting of January 24, 1995, staff <br />presented a request for the purchase of one 3,000 gallon fire service drop tank and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the purchase of this tank was not originally authorized in the 1995 Adopted <br />General Fund budget; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it has been determined that the purchase of one 3,000 gallon drop tank <br />would best utilize the Fire Department's equipment and in turn give the best service to the citizens <br />of Ramsey and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the cost of a new tank is approximately $800.00; and <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the sum of $526.00 is available in the City's Equipment Replacement Fund; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the balance of $274.00 is available through a budget amendment from a <br />vehicle maintenance account to a capital account; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Finance Committee approved this recommendation and hereby <br />recommends that Ramsey City Council authorize the purchase and funding sources as detailed in <br />this resolution. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the capital purchase of one 3,000 gallon <br />fh'e service drop tank for the Fire Department at a cost not-to-exceed $800.00. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Council hereby authorizes an amendment to the 1995 Adopted General Fund <br />Budget as detailed within this resolution. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />That the City Council hereby authorizes the transfer of funds from the City's Equipment <br />Replacement Fund to the General Fund as detailed within this resolution. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Bea.hen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin <br />Councilmember Peterson <br />Councilmember Beahen <br />Couneilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
