Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #06- A RESOLUTION IDENTIFYING FINDINGS, APPROVING A COMPRHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT TO CHANGE A LAND USE DESIGNATION CHANGE FROM LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL, AND AUTHORIZING CITY STAFF TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL FOR AN AMENDMENT TO THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN WHEREAS, on January 9, 2006, the City, of Ramsey (the "City") received a request for an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan from MN Skyline Partners, LLC, (the "Applicant") for the purpose of changing the land use designation from Low Density Residential to Medium Density Residential in the Comprehensive Plan for the following legally described property: That part of the north half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 23, Township 32, Range 25, . Anoka County, Minnesota, described as follows: Commencing at a point on the west line thereof distant 523.00 feet south from the northwest comer thereof; thence south along the west line thereof a distance of 209.00 feet; thence east and. parallel with the north line thereof a distance of 1100.32 feet to its intersection with the centerline of County State Aid Highway No. 5 (Nowthen Road) as the same is now laid out and traveled; thence northwesterly along said centerline a distance of 239.81 feet; thence west and parallel with the north line thereof a distance of 981.47 feet to the point of commencement. Subject to an easement for road purposes over the northeasterly 33 feet thereof as measured at right angles to said centerline, according to the United States Government Survey thereof. Subject also to easements, restrictions and reservations of record, if any. Also That part of the north half bf the Southeast Quarter of Section 23, Township 32, Range 25, Anoka County, Minnesota, described as follows: Commencing at a point on the west line thereof distant 285.00 feet south from the northwest comer thereof; thence south along the west line thereof a distance of 238.00 feet; thence east and parallel with the north line thereof a distance of 981.47 feet to its intersection with the centertine of County State Aid Highway No. 5 (Nowthen Road) as the same is now laid out and traveled; thence northwesterly along said centerline a distance of 273.08 feet; thence west and parallel with the north line thereof a distance of 846.13 feet to the point of commencement.
