Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION g95-02-043 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING USE OF 1995 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />BLOCK GRANT FUNDS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Anoka County is responsible for the allocation and timely expenditure of <br />Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and <br />Urban Development; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey receives an annual allocation of CDBG funds from <br />Anoka County; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has a 1995 CDBG allocation in the amount of <br />$34,769.00 for CDBG projects; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, eligible activities for CDBG funds include projects that have been <br />determined to benefit low and moderate income persons, handicapped persons, senior citizens or to <br />rehabilitate areas of slum and blight; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey City Council conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, January <br />24, 1995 regarding the use of 1995 CDBG allocations. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City of Ramsey hereby applies to Anoka County for 1995 Community <br />Development Block Grant allocations to be used as follows: <br /> <br />Project Amount <br /> <br />Public Service Agencies: <br /> <br />ACCAP Sr. Outreach <br />CEAP <br />Meals on Wheels <br />Alexandra House <br />Rise <br /> <br />$2,000.00 <br />$2,000.00 <br />$2,000.00 <br />$2,000.00 <br />$2,000.00 <br /> <br />Historical Preservation of Town Hall <br /> <br />$23,769.00 <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That a copy of this resolution, the public hearing notice and the preliminary project <br />application request form be forwarded to the Anoka County CDBG Administrator. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Beyer and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof.' <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Beyer <br />Councilmember Beahen <br />Councilmember Peterson <br /> <br />Resolution g95-02-043 <br /> Page 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
