Councilmember Peterson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION g95-03-056 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION GRANTING FINAL PLAT APPROVAL TO ALPINE ADDITION <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Waste Management of Minnesota, Inc. hereinafter referred to as <br />"Developer" has properly applied for plat approval of the following described property located in <br />the City of Ramsey: <br /> <br />The North Half of the Southeast Quarter of Section 22, Township 32, Range 25, Anoka <br />County, Minnesota <br /> <br />-and- <br /> <br />The Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 23, Township 32, Range 25, <br />Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br />-and- <br /> <br />That part of the Northeast Quarter of Section 22, Township 32, Range 25, Anoka County, <br />Minnesota described as follows: <br /> <br />Commencing at the Southwest Comer of the said Northeast Quarter; thence north 01 <br />degrees 05 minutes 17 seconds west a distance of 55.03 feet; thence southeasterly along a <br />non-tangential curve concave to the southwest a distance of 207.01 feet to the south line of <br />said Northwest Quarter, said curve has a radius of 690.00 feet, a central angle of 17 <br />degrees 11 minutes 22 seconds, and a chord bearing south 74 degrees 6 minutes 24 <br />seconds east; thence south 89 degrees 35 minutes 03 seconds west along the south line of <br />said Northwest Quarter a distance of 198.11 feet to the point of beginning. <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has requested that Waste Management of <br />Minnesota, Inc. plat this property and it is being platted at the City's expense; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this property, the majority of which is to be conveyed to the City as a result <br />of the City's need for acquisition of title to 153rd Avenue and the transfer of property by Waste <br />Management of Minnesota, Inc. pursuant to its obligations created by the contractual obligations <br />relating to the landfill; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the legal descriptions for the conveyances necessary, if the property were <br />not platted, would be by metes and bounds which would create very long and difficult metes and <br />bounds descriptions could cause certain problems in maintaining legal description accuracy; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, platting of the property will clearly allow the property to be transferred more <br />easily and with definite accuracy; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission reviewed the plat on March 7, 1995, and <br />recommended final plat approval; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there is no park dedication applicable to this plat because the majority of the <br />land is to be reserved for public and open space purposes pursuant to a separate document. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #95-03-056 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
